- Harry Saltzman was born on October 27, 1915 in Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada. He was a producer and production manager, known for James Bond 007 contre Dr. No (1962), Goldfinger (1964) and On ne vit que deux fois (1967). He was married to Tanya Morris, Jacqueline Colin and Adriana Ghinsberg. He died on September 28, 1994 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, Hauts-de-Seine, France.

- Worked for the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), the predecessor of the CIA, during World War II.
- Had a habit of complaining about and sending everybody's food back at nice restaurants. His former partner Albert R. Broccoli once said of him, "If he was at the Last Supper, he'd send that back, too".
- The secret OSS Intelligence career of Harry Saltzman was first revealed by fellow Canadian and James Bond production associate David Giammarco in his 2002 book "For Your Eyes Only: Behind the Scenes of the James Bond Films", published for the 40th anniversary James Bond film Meurs un autre jour (2002). For the 50th anniversary 007 film Skyfall (2012), Hilary Saltzman, Steven Saltzman and David Giammarco disclosed the full extent of Saltzman's Intelligence work with previously-classified documents, photographs and analysis in an exclusive feature for Vanity Fair Magazine titled "50 Years of 007: The Secret Spy Life of James Bond Producer Harry Saltzman".
