Akis Sakellariou is a prominent Greek actor with an extensive career in film, television, and theater. Born in Thessaloniki, he initially studied law at the Aristotle University before pursuing acting at the Drama School of [link=nm1142354. He later continued his training in New York at the Stella Adler Studio and HB Studio.
Sakellariou has appeared in several acclaimed films, including Theodoros Angelopoulos's Le pas suspendu de la cigogne (1991), Pantelis Voulgaris's Les mariées (2004), and Costa-Gavras's Adults in the Room (2019). His performances in Guiness (2009), Apostratos (2019), and Dodo (2022) further demonstrated his range and depth as an actor. He has been honored at the Thessaloniki Film Festival with awards for both Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor, as well as with a Greek State Film Award.
