Leontine Sagan(1889-1974)

Leontine Sagan was born on 13 February 1889 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary [now Austria]. She was a director and actress, known for Jeunes filles en uniforme (1931), Men of Tomorrow (1932) and Le chemin du bonheur (1946). She was married to Dr. Victor Fleischer (dramatist). She died on 20 May 1974 in Pretoria, South Africa.

Trivia
Austro-Hungarian actress and stage director, noted for her controversial German film Jeunes filles en uniforme (1931), which featured an all-female cast and was among the first movies with a lesbian theme. Sagan later went to Britain where she made another picture for Alexander Korda, then departing Europe for South Africa, eventually founding the National Theatre of Johannesburg.
