- Due to her illness at the time of shooting, she turned down the title part of princess Arabela in Arabela (1980), eventually played by Jana Nagyová. However, because of Nagyová's strong Slovak accent Safránková over-dubbed her in post-production.

- She was originally cast in Nemocnice na kraji mesta (1977). According to some sources, she was supposed to play Dr. Alzbeta Cenková, eventually played by Eliska Balzerová, according to others it was the part of nurse Ina, eventually played by Andrea Cunderlíková. In any case, she had to refuse because of her pregnancy.
