Marcelo Saback is a Brazilian screenwriter, playwright, director, and actor, known for some of the country's most successful film comedies and TV series. He wrote the screenplays for Divã, Loucas pra Casar, Lindas de Morrer, and the hit trilogy De Pernas pro Ar (1, 2, and 3), among others. He won the Best Screenplay award at the Brazilian Film Festival of Miami for Divã and received nominations at Brazil's Grande Prêmio do Cinema Brasileiro (currently called Grande Otelo).
He is the creator of the TV series Divã and A Fórmula (Globo) and has worked as head writer, consultant, and script supervisor on several film and television projects, including productions for streaming platforms.
In theater, Marcelo has worked in more than 35 plays as a writer, actor, director, and composer. He received the Coca-Cola Award, was nominated for the Molière Prize in the Special Category, and was recognized for his body of work by the APCA (São Paulo Association of Art Critics).
