A stand-up comedian in the 1950s, Rymal used his expertise with a paddle-ball to entertain audiences at night-club acts throughout the country. He also appeared as a guest on such television programs as The Steve Allen Show, The Eddie Cantor Show and You Asked For It.

Rymal is best remembered as the street barker who uses the paddle ball in a demonstration of the 3-D effects for the film L'Homme au masque de cire (1953).
