John Ryan Jr. is the CEO of AFA, a company he co-founded with Kenan Thompson.

John brought Mike Tyson out of retirement in 2020 and produced "Tyson Vs. Jones".

John is the former COO and Parter of FilmEngine. (The Butterfly Effect, Lucky Number Slevin,The Rum Diary)

John's journey began when he moved to Los Angeles at the age of 18 to produce some of the biggest Live Red Carpet shows in the world from movie premieres to the Oscars, John worked every red carpet in town. This led to John co-creating the ground-breaking Tinseltown TV / Hollywood.TV. Tinseltown was the first American based television show to tap into the Bollywood market. It launched in more than 250 countries, including the United States. After leaving Hollywood.TV John raised more than $300 million for independent films and development. John branched out to became a partner at FilmEngine (feature film portfolio includes The Rum Diary, The Butterfly Effect, Lucky Number Slevin) to finance and develop projects in the $20 to $50 million range as Vice President of Production/COO. After raising $20 million for "The Killing Season", he exited the company to launch his own ventures. John focused on development, production finance and talent management. In 2023 John us producing Goodburger 2, My Therapist Says, and a slate of films with studio partners.
