Brad Pitt advises young actors to steer clear of superhero films, warning that they could harm their authenticity and career.
In a candid conversation on the New Heights podcast, hosted by Travis and Jason Kelce, Brad Pitt made it clear that he doesn’t believe success in Hollywood should require donning a cape or joining a billion-dollar franchise. At 61, the Oscar-winning actor shared his thoughts on the challenges facing new talent and offered a piece of advice that has sparked debate across the industry: “Don’t do it! They’re going to die!” he warned, referring to superhero films.
“I like seeing what the new generation brings. They enjoy it more. We were more uptight—everything had to be about acting… not selling out,” he explained. “Now they can be artists in so many different areas, and I love that. But they also fall into the trap of thinking they...

Andy Garcia just dropped the smoothest confirmation at the Newport Beach TV Festival: Ocean’s 14 is happening — and it’s more than just the usual Hollywood rumour mill. In an exclusive conversation with Collider’s Aidan Kelley, the Landman and Ocean’s franchise star didn’t hesitate when asked if he’d return to the role of Terry Benedict, the Vegas mogul-turned-reluctant ally of Danny Ocean (George Clooney) and Rusty Ryan (Brad Pitt).
“That seems to be — that’s more than a whisper, I think. I think they’re just finding the time where everybody can do it, I think. Or specifically, I guess, Brad and George. But yeah, it’s out there.”
While Garcia doesn't outright confirm he'll be reprising his sly franchise villain for another film, the casual confirmation comes hot on the heels of recent reports that Bullet Train and Deadpool 2 director David Leitch is in...

Brad Pitt may finally have found happiness again, but his friends are worried he might blow it. After two high-profile divorces and years of personal setbacks, the Oscar-winning actor has been quietly building a life with Ines De Ramon. By all accounts, things are going well for the couple.
Now whispers from behind the scenes suggest that none other than George Clooney isn’t letting him off the hook so easily. Clooney, Pitt’s longtime friend and co-star, is said to be among those urging Pitt to stop dragging his feet and marry his girlfriend Ramon or lose her favor.

When you think of Brad Pitt, what comes to mind? Handsome? Check. Talented? Undoubtedly. But it’s also worth noting that the actor has also made a pretty penny throughout his Hollywood career. One of his most iconic roles? That would be his depiction of Rusty Ryan in the Ocean’s franchise.
The Ocean’s Eleven movie in 2001 made huge ripples in Tinseltown, and Pitt’s role was just one part of what made it so indelible. But here’s the thing: just how much did Pitt make for playing Rusty Ryan? That’s the real question we’re here to answer.
Pitt has had a career that’s made him a superstar. From his early days in Thelma & Louise to being a producer on major hits like 12 Years a Slave, he’s accomplished it all. And when he got entangled in Ocean’s Eleven? Well, that turned out to...

Brad Pitt Didn’t Just Star in Ocean’s Eleven ( Photo Credit – Prime Video )
When Ocean’s Eleven rolled the dice in 2001, it wasn’t just another glitzy heist movie. It was Brad Pitt’s masterclass in how to steal scenes without breaking a sweat. Sure, the cast was stacked with Hollywood royalty, Clooney, Roberts, Damon, but Pitt? He was the secret weapon. As Rusty Ryan, he didn’t just play second-in-command; he became the smooth-talking, snack-munching soul of the film. His effortless charm turned what could’ve been a one-off into a cultural reset for cool.
But Pitt wasn’t just there for the close-ups; he was instrumental behind the scenes too, helping shape the vibe, chemistry, and laid-back wit that made Ocean’s Eleven a genre-defining hit. It wasn’t just a reboot, it was a Brad Pitt blueprint. The kind of star power that makes a movie sparkle before the first line is even delivered.

Brad Pitt is a man of many talents, a Hollywood heartthrob, an Academy Award winner, and a producer extraordinaire. He’s given us legendary performances in Fight Club, Inglourious Basterds, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. But for all his cinematic triumphs, there’s one role that left fans scratching their heads and asking, “Wait… what was that?”
Sometimes, even the biggest stars can stumble, and Pitt’s appearance in 12 Years a Slave is a prime example of an actor missing the mark but still making a game-changing impact behind the scenes. Pitt’s career has been nothing short of iconic.

Bullet Traindirector David Leitch may be teaming up with Amazon MGM Studios and Imagine Entertainment for a new action thriller that reportedly centers on a series of heists taking place in the social media age. The new project doesn't yet have a title, but some of its production details have started to surface.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Leitch will be joined by his wife Kelly McCormick to produce the feature under their 87North banner, which recently oversaw the hugely divisive Ke Huy Quan-led action-comedyLove Hurts. Imagine's Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody, and Allan Mandelbaum are also on board to produce the upcoming crime caper, with Mark Bianculli serving as an executive producer.

If you're only familiar with director Steven Soderbergh's take on Danny Ocean's (George Clooney) story in his "Ocean's" trilogy — which kicked off in 2001 — you might not know that the actual first movie centering around a guy named Ocean and a big Las Vegas heist actually came out in 1960. So which ones in this series are the best, and which are the worst?
I feel pretty comfortable saying that I'm going to ruffle some feathers with this ranking, and I'm fine with that. I love picking hyper-specific hills and then dying upon them; it's one of my absolute favorite hobbies. Still, with just five "Ocean's" movies to choose from — putting aside the rumored prequel with Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie as Danny's parents — it's a fairly close ranking, but there's still a definitive answer. Here are the "Ocean's" movies ranked from worst to best, and I guarantee people...

David Leitch could soon be sailing into the Ocean's franchise waters; the fan-favorite action director is reportedly in early talks to helm Ocean's 14. The upcoming feature will mark the first of the franchise films starring Brad Pitt and George Clooney that Steven Soderbergh will not direct. Clooney will also be involved in Ocean's 14, reprising his role as Danny Ocean and serving as a producer.
It's an exciting development for fans of Leitch's work and the series itself, given his previous work directing mega-action flicks like John Wick, Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, and Fall Guy, starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. That last one was a particularly personal one for the director, given his time working as a stuntman (often with Pitt) before becoming a director. He also directed the raucous Bullet Train, which starred Pitt as the unlucky assassin Ladybug. Pitt, though not officially confirmed, is expected...

It looks like Danny Ocean and Rusty Ryan are heading for one last heist, and this time, they're bringing along David Leitch, with the Bullet Train director in final talks to direct Ocean's 14, which reportedly seeking to bring back George Clooney and Brad Pitt. Last year, Clooney revealed that there was a script ready for the movie, based on another classic heist film. “We have a really good script for another Ocean’s now, so we may end up doing another one,” Clooney told Uproxx. “It’s actually a great script. I don't want to call it [Ocean's 14], the idea is kind of like Going in Style." For those who haven't had the chance to see it, Going in Style followed a group of retirees who, when they grow bored with their day-to-day mundane lives, decide to commit a robbery to bring some enjoyment back into the final days of their lives.

Brad Pitt Scene From Ocean Eleven (Photo Credit – Facebook)
Brad Pitt didn’t just steal scenes in Ocean’s Eleven—he devoured them, literally. In one of the movie’s most memorable moments, where Rusty Ryan (Pitt) is casually munching on shrimp while spying on Tess, Brad polished off 40 shrimp in a single shot. That’s right—forty. It turns out that playing a smooth-talking con man comes with an appetite.
Rusty’s constant snacking wasn’t in the script at first. It was a quirky idea from Pitt himself. He figured a guy always on the move wouldn’t have time for sit-down meals—so Rusty grazes. It worked so well that it became a trademark. But Pitt probably regretted choosing a shrimp cocktail for that scene. Director Steven Soderbergh revealed it took several takes to nail the shot, meaning Brad had to down shrimp after shrimp like a pro.

Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie are known for their exceptional talent and the charm they bring to their movies. Robbie wowed us as Barbie and Harley Quinn, while Pitt shined as a secret agent in Mr. And Mrs. Smith and as Rusty Ryan in Oceans Eleven. Their films usually create magic on screen, so when the two teamed up for Babylon in 2022, expectations were high. However, the movie didn’t perform well and ended up being a box-office flop.

However, as time passed, Babylon began gaining appreciation from a niche audience. Many now see it as a misunderstood masterpiece and believe it has the potential to achieve cult status. When Sandra Bullock was announced as Danny Ocean’s sister Debbie Ocean in an Ocean’s spin-off, fans weren’t exactly jumping on the hate train. It was the trend of the time to troll female-led reboots of popular films. The all-female cast of Ghostbusters reboot in 2016 bore the brunt of social media hate. However, Ocean’s 8 did not receive such a reception.

According to experts, the film did not belong to the “geek culture” where films and characters became part of people’s childhood. Unlike such films, George Clooney’s heist film was fun to watch for the adult demographics and hence fans didn’t mind the female-led adaptation much.

Warning! This article contains major Spoilers for Wolfs (2024!)Brad Pitt and George Clooney are back together on-screen for the first time since 2008s Burn After Reading, with Wolfs maintaining the acting duos great chemistry and genre success. With the duo now having made seven films together, George Clooney and Brad Pitts movie collaborations began with Oceans Eleven in 2001, a hit heist comedy that spawned a trilogy directed by Steven Soderbergh and a 2018 spinoff. The actors have since continued to find great niche success with crime comedies, and Wolfs warm response from critics and audiences adds another hit to their list.

Hollywood leading men George Clooney and Brad Pitt are teaming up as rival-slash-reluctant accomplices in Apple TV+s Wolfs. This marks their first collaboration since the 2008 film Burn After Reading reuniting them after 16 years. Having previously portrayed Danny Ocean and Rusty Ryan in Oceans Eleven, the duo is no stranger to the action-comedy genre. In Wolfs, Clooney plays a professional fixer, someone hired to cover up high-profile crimes, who clashes with Pitts character, a fellow fixer when they find themselves stuck on the same job - despite both preferring to work solo.

The cast of the Ocean's movies features an assortment of stars at a wide variety of ages. The best known installment in the heist movie franchise is Ocean's Eleven, which was directed by Steven Soderbergh from a screenplay by Ted Griffin. The movie is a remake of the 1960 title Ocean's 11, which starred many members of the Rat Pack and was the ninth highest-grossing movie of the year though it earned mixed reviews at the time.
At the time of writing, there are five Ocean's movies, including the 1960 original and the 2018 spinoff Ocean's 8, which features a female ensemble cast led by Sandra Bullock. If ever there was a film that should've been released concurrent with the holiday season, then it's Wolfs, the new film written and directed by Jon Watts for Apple TV+. Stuffed to the gills in the haze of a tryptophan stupor, the whole family can't decide how to spend the day. So what do they do? They see the latest film starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt, of course. Never mind that Wolf is set in the oddly empty New York amid a blustery, Christmasy snowstorm; it's the banal comfort of its stars who seem out of season.
It's been a while since Clooney and Pitt shared billing. Who can forget Danny Ocean (Clooney) and Rusty Ryan (Pitt), who collaborated on daringly convoluted heists in Ocean's 11 (2001) and its two sequels? The duo's last scene together -- and their only shared screen time in the film -- appears partway through...

The box office game is not always so straightforward, and many popular actors' highest-grossing movies would surprise their fans. The reasons that Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga flopped illustrate bigger challenges than ever for movies hoping for a traditional theatrical release, especially in the age of swift streaming releases. What makes a movie a financial success is a complex combination of timing, widespread appeal, industry tastes, and some luck.
Beloved 2000s movies that flopped demonstrate the phenomenon of the cult classic, where what now is regarded as an actor's best movie probably wasn't a hit at the box office. Sci-fi and fantasy are the genres with the greatest potential for massive movie events, but the existence of great fantasy movies that flopped proves that even good movies of these genres aren't guaranteed profits. The Dream Team is back! Not the 1989 comedy starring Micheal Keaton and Christopher Lloyd; I’m talking about Brad Pitt and George Clooney! Apple TV+ unveiled another Wolfs trailer on Wednesday, featuring the dynamic duo as cleaners who mix like oil and water when accidentally assigned to the same job. The preview highlights Pitt and Clooney’s brilliant on-screen chemistry, proving the pair hasn’t lost their magic after several years apart.
Wolfs reunites Pitt and Clooney as rival fixers called in to dispose of a corpse by their shadowy employer, only for the corpse to be far from dead and in the possession of a massive amount of drugs. What starts as a routine job quickly escalates into a fight for survival as bullets start flying and henchmen emerge from the shadows.
Jon Watts (Spider-Man: No Way Home) directed and wrote Wolfs. Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams, and Poorna Jagannathan star alongside Clooney and Pitt.

I am more skeptical about Ocean's 14 after George Clooney hinted at a major character death. Even though it has been 17 years since Ocean's Thirteen was released, discussions of a sequel publicly reignited in 2023 when Clooney commented on an Ocean's 14 script in the works. This was followed in 2024 with reports of Clooney and Brad Pitt being in talks to reprise their respective roles as Danny Ocean and Rusty Ryan from the previous Ocean's films they starred in.
While revealing that there is "a really good script, and everybody's read it and ready to do it," Clooney also teased an Ocean's 14 character's death. He further hinted that this is a death that Pitt "actually liked" when he read the script and that it is someone Pitt finds to be funny, meaning the deceased will likely be an already established character who has worked with Danny and Rusty in the past.

Reports of All Quiet on the Western Front director Edward Berger helming new entries in the Ocean's and James Bond franchises have been greatly exaggerated. The acclaimed filmmaker has dismissed recent reports claiming he is attached to direct new installments in the respective franchises, although he remains open to the idea.

Is Brad Pitt’s charm absolutely timeless, or what? But let’s face it, even Hollywood heartthrobs have aspirations beyond the big screen. The actor made a playful remark about Ocean’s 14 that isn’t exactly fresh off the press but still packs a punch. Then came the kicker: he lightheartedly remarked he’d prefer to avoid a financial jam that would force him into making Ocean’s 14. Pitt’s comment wasn’t just a throwaway line; it underscored his preference for pursuing projects he’s passionate about rather than chasing a paycheck.

It looks like the Ocean's crew is getting back together, as Ocean's Fourteen is reportedly in development, and an Academy Award-nominated director is being considered. The Ocean's franchise began in 1960 with Ocean's 11 as a rat-pack-led vehicle, but in the 21st century, it was revamped as Ocean's Eleven with an all-star cast that included George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, and many more. Two sequels followed, 2004's Ocean's Twelve and 2007's Ocean's Thirteen, with a female-led spin-off, Ocean's 8, released in summer 2018. After all these years, it looks like Clooney and Pitt are finally ready to return to the franchise.
According to Deadline, All Quiet on the Western Front director Edward Berger is being considered to direct Ocean's Fourteen, with both George Clooney and Brad Pitt looking to reprise their roles as Danny Ocean and Rusty Ryan, respectively. The three previous films in the original Ocean's...

A sequel to 2007's Ocean's Thirteen may be on its way, as George Clooney has confirmed the existence of a script for another installment. The 2007 ensemble comedy, which followed 2001's Ocean's 11 and 2004's Ocean's 12, included George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Andy Garca, Don Cheadle, Ellen Barkin, the late Bernie Mac, Al Pacino, and Casey Affleck. Now, two of those stars are sharing what they know about a possible return to the Ocean's franchise.
During a recent conversation with Screen Rant while promoting Apple TV+'s The Instigators, Damon and Affleck, who portrayed Linus Caldwell and Virgil Malloy, respectively, in the heist comedies, revealed they weren't in the loop regarding the future of the Ocean's franchise. After Affleck joked that "you know more than I do," Damon added:
"Yeah. [Laughs] I guess it'll be up to if we can get the whole group together and get a good script.

When Steven Soderbergh remade ratpack favourite Ocean’s 11 in the early 2000s, he not only assembled one of the all-time-great ensemble casts – he reinvigorated the heist movie in the process. First, in 2001, came Ocean’s Eleven, with all its swaggering Vegas charm. Then came Ocean’s Twelve in 2004, bringing greater ambition with multiple European heists. And then, capping it all off in 2007, was the all-glam Ocean’s Thirteen, dialling up the star power even further to deliver one last great score.

Brad Pitt found fame as Detective Mills in David Fincher’s 1995 film Se7en. He later became known as Tyler Durden in the 1999 film Fight Club. However, it was George Clooney’s 2001 film that made Brad Pitt worldwide famous as Rusty Ryan.

Brad Pitt’s Ocean’s Eleven Will Have Eleven Episodes?
No, the number of episodes is not confirmed. But, what’s confirmed is that our beloved heist franchise (or more particularly the first movie) might just be rebooted as a limited TV series.

Brad Pitt and George Clooney are having an Oceans 11-esque reunion with their upcoming film Wolfs. Directed by Jon Watts, the film sees Pitt and Clooney play rival ‘fixers’ who are hired to cover up the same crime. The action-packed trailer teases their frenemy relationship as well as a quirky and fun black comedy.
While fans were ecstatic to see the duo on screen again, they were also quick to notice the connections between the film’s title and concept and Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction. The film features a prominent role from Harvey Keitel who plays a fixer, much like Pitt and Clooney. Keitel’s name in Pulp Fiction was Mr. Wolfe.

Brad Pitt and George Clooney star in "Wolfs," set for a 2024 release, potentially breaking their recent poor Rotten Tomatoes streaks. Previous projects starring the actors have received "Rotten" scores, prompting optimism for "Wolfs" to reverse their luck. The highly anticipated film reunites the actors after 16 years, generating excitement due to their successful past collaborations.
Brad Pitt and George Clooney are set to star in Wolfs, an upcoming movie that will be released in 2024, and it might be just what the actors need to break both of their recent disappointing Rotten Tomatoes streaks. The action comedy film, directed and written by Jon Watts of the McU's Spider-Man fame, chronicles two professional "fixers," played by Pitt and Clooney, who are both hired for the same job. Despite the initial tension between them, the two men are forced to work together.

The fix is in, and it’s lowkey hilarious. For the first time in 15 years, George Clooney and Brad Pitt are together again for the upcoming thriller Wolfs. The film reuintes Clooney and Pitt as rival fixers called into to dispose of a corpse by their shadowy employer, only for the corpse to be far from dead, and in the possession of a massive amount of drugs. Going by the teaser trailer, the film has serious buddy-comedy vibes, mixed with a bit of gunplay and action. With a September 20th release date, a debut at one of the fall film festivals would make sense, with TIFF an obvious choice for that looks to be a star-studded crowdpleaser. Indeed, seeing Clooney and Pitt mixing it up again is fantastic.

Ocean's Fourteen will have to feature a different team than the original trilogy due to the passing of Bernie Mac and the retirement of Carl Reiner and Elliott Gould. The characters introduced in Ocean's 8, such as Debbie Ocean and Lou Miller, would be perfect additions to the new team and help connect the franchise. Some unimpeachable cast members who should return for Ocean's Fourteen include Danny Ocean, Rusty Ryan, Linus Caldwell, and other essential members from the original team.
If an Ocean's Fourteen movie does move forward in the future, there are a number of reasons why the original team from the first three movies would have to change, but a perfect set of replacements already exists. George Clooney recently gave an Ocean's Fourteen update that included the fact that there is a very good script in place. The Ocean's prequel starring Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie is in development as well,...

Ocean's Fourteen never happened due to the death of actor Bernie Mac, who played a key character in the franchise. Director Steven Soderbergh and Don Cheadle decided not to continue the sequel after Bernie Mac's passing. Despite the absence of Ocean's Fourteen, the Ocean's franchise has been rebooted twice and has future plans, including an untitled prequel set in the 1960s with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.

Brad Pitt shares the story of how he crashed a wedding while filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2005. Directed by Doug Liman, Mr. & Mrs. Smith stars Pitt and Angelina Jolie as the titular married couple, two rival assassins who realize they've been hired by different companies to kill each other. The film was met with somewhat mixed reviews from critics, but would go on to earn over 487 million at the global box office. Now, more than 17 years later, Mr. & Mrs. Smith is getting a TV show adaptation of the same name starring Donald Glover and Maya Erskine, which is expected to release on Prime Video at some point this year.

The farther away we get from it, the more "Ocean's Twelve" looks like somewhat of a miracle to me. Steven Soderbergh, high off the success of winning Best Director for "Traffic" and the box office smash that was "Ocean's Eleven," had the ability to flex his power by taking a sequel that took a dramatic left turn away from the appeal of that first movie. Every sequel Hollywood cranks out is so much of "the first movie but more," but Soderbergh completely shakes up the style. Naturally, most people weren't into it, but those of us who were couldn't have been more thrilled.
Because the film is such a departure, the place they arrived at was obviously not the first instinct of the filmmakers when discussing a sequel. In fact, the screenwriter for "Ocean's Eleven," Ted Griffin, did not even come along for the sequel. However, that did not mean...

Ocean’s Eleven is a 2001 heist movie directed by Steven Soderbergh. This US movie is about a large-scale theft in Las Vegas. Ocean’s Eleven is a remake of 1960’s Ocean’s 11. This must-see film starred Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and Angie Dickinson.
The Plot – What Is Ocean’s Eleven About? Would Casino Players Enjoy It?
Ocean’s Eleven begins with Danny Ocean being released from prison. After a major theft, Danny had to serve several years and is now on parole. But he has nothing to do with probation and immediately plans the next big robbery. The destination is the Bellagio, one of the most famous casino hotels in the world. The planned robbery is made attractive by the fact that the casino owner Terry-Benedigt is also bunkering the earnings of two other famous casinos in the Bellagio’s vault. If all goes well, Danny’s plan can loot the proceeds from the Bellagio,...

There’s a reason Hollywood loves a good casino scene. The drama of winning it all, or maybe even losing it all, is an ideal climatic moment for film. And the glamour of casinos — the expensive clothing, the clicking of ice in drinks glasses, the flash of cash and the general ambiance — looks, and sounds, great on the big screen. It’s the perfect setting for thrillers, heist films, romances — and everything in between.
Having expertise in a casino game is also a great quality point for any character. Sure, you know their back stories, their favourite drink, their strengths and weaknesses. But what’s their favourite casino game to play?

Back in August, we reported that the highly-anticipated all-female spin-off Ocean's Eight will begin principal photography sometime this October in New York City, under the direction of Gary Ross. Today we have the first photos from the set as filming got under way yesterday, with our first look at Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett and Helena Bonham Carter. It isn't known exactly how long filming is expected to last for, but Warner Bros. has already set a June 8, 2018 release date, going up against Transformers 6.
The photos surfaced on various Twitter accounts yesterday, with both Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett spotted together in the Big Apple. While no plot details have been confirmed, it is believed that Sandra Bullock is playing the ex-con sister of George Clooney's Danny Ocean, with Cate Blanchett playing a character similar to Brad Pitt's Rusty Ryan from Ocean's Eleven. Have you ever noticed how Brad Pitt eats a lot in his movies? Most notably, his character in the Ocean's franchise, Rusty Ryan, is munching on something in nearly every scene he's in. There have been supercuts devoted to the actor's munching, and in 2011 Vulture managed to list every single food item he'd dined on through that year's Moneyball. Now a publishing company has taken it another level and compiled a cookbook inspired by Pitt's trademark. Titled Fat Brad - The Cookbook, it's described officially as "a definitive exploration into the on-screen eating habits of William Bradley 'Brad' Pitt; part fan fantasy, part filmic study,” and features recipes such as "Bloodied Roast" inspired by Mr. and Mrs...

Movie stars, as we know them, are not so much dead in 2013 as much as they’re no longer making movies. Celebrity has stretched far beyond film or television; people become famous now without having accomplished much of anything, just for being at the right place at the right time, or tweeting out the right scandalous photo to set afire the comments sections at TMZ or Perez Hilton. Though movies cost more than they used to—both to make and to partake—they are less frequently headlined by a man or woman whose very presence ensures bankability. A handful of movie stars remain, yet even someone like Robert Downey, Jr. can only guarantee a movie will make back its profit and then some when he’s donned his Iron Man suit.
