Margôt Ros
Margôt Ros was born in Eindhoven (1965), a town in the southern Netherlands. After graduating from the Academy of Performing Arts in Amsterdam, she played in several stage plays and drama series.

A comedy actress as well as a successful drama actress, she won a Colombina (Dutch equivalent of the Laurence Olivier Awards) in 2019 for her role of the deaf Christina in Onder Mannen (stage adaptation of In the Company of Men). Her unique ability to combine humor and drama make her an actress in high demand.

Her quality is to shine in the shortcomings and embarrassments of her characters. By showing the hidden pain in her character's situations, she creates drama and humor. In her own television show Toren C, that she wrote, co-produced, and played with Maike Meijer, she played a wide variety of strong and layered characters in its often short scenes. For her performance in Toren C, she won the Seoul Drama Award for best actress in 2010.

Toren C won the Lira Scenarioprijs for best scenario in 2009 and the Beeld and Geluid Award in 2010 for best television show. The show was nominated for the Rose D'Or in 2020 and for the BANFF in 2021, and was adapted for Canada and France. The French version (Working Girls) got an Emmy nomination in 2013.

Margôt likes to collaborate in the creative process, is very capable of improvisation, but can also deliver what the script asks and the director wants. She is very easy to work with.
