Haris Romas is a Greek comedian, actor, writer, director, and lyricist known for his enduring contributions to television, theater, and film. Initially trained in medicine, Romas shifted to acting, studying at the Katselis Drama School and the Higher Drama School of the Karolos Koun Art Theatre. He has performed on stages across Greece and internationally, including the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, the Herodeion, and Carnegie Hall in New York.
Romas is best known for creating, writing, and starring in some of Greece's most popular television series, including Oi men kai oi den (1993), Konstantinou kai Elenis (1998), and To kafe tis Haras (2003), which continue to be widely broadcast decades after their original airing. He has also contributed as a lyricist to television and film soundtracks, including To Kafe tou Erota.
In addition to his artistic career, Romas has been active in politics, serving as Regional Vice Governor for Culture and Sports in Attica and running as a candidate for mayor of Chalandri.
