Ron Robinson is an American/Canadian actor who's been quietly making waves on both sides of the border. Best known for his role alongside Tom Arnold and Daryl Hannah in the Amazon Prime Original "Undateable John" and as Gordon Newsome in a recurring role on season 2 of Netflix's hit series "My Life With The Walter Boys", Robinson's career has been nothing short of versatile. He's also left his mark with standout appearances as Aaron in The CW's Nancy Drew and a major role in the Season 3 premiere of the fan-favorite legal drama Family Law.
Since his move to Vancouver, Robinson has been on a booking spree, carving out his place in the Canadian entertainment scene. Whether it's Netflix's action-packed The Night Agent, the workplace comedy Blockbuster, or the emotional season finale of ABC's A Million Little Things, Robinson has proven he's got range. Add to that a slew of national commercials for brands like Lexus, IKEA, and Nissan, and it's clear this actor is a workhorse with staying power.
Long before his Vancouver renaissance, Robinson was cutting his teeth in Hollywood, racking up credits in iconic shows like Star Trek: Voyager, Beverly Hills 90210, Malcolm in the Middle, The Parkers, and The Young & the Restless. He even graced the big screen in Michael Jordan: An American Hero and appeared in R&B queen Monica's "Why I Love You So Much" music video. But it's not just big productions that define him-Robinson's love for indie filmmaking has led to starring roles in short films and the production of his own projects.
Born in Michigan and raised in Memphis, Robinson's roots run deep in the theater, where he honed his craft before making the leap to Los Angeles. As of 2022, he's embraced a fresh chapter in Vancouver, becoming a permanent resident and member of both SAG/AFTRA and UBCP/ACTRA unions.
Whether navigating the glitz of Hollywood or the creative boom of Vancouver, Ron Robinson is a storyteller who continues to captivate audiences, one role at a time.
