Edit
  • Trivia
In two separate episodes of Clint Walker's Cheyenne (1955), Mike Road's voice was dubbed over the credited actors' voices. He was not credited in either of these episodes. In The Greater Glory (1961) he overdubbed actor Tod Griffin in the role of Rafe Donovan, and in Sweet Sam (1962) he overdubbed actor Jackson Halliday in the role of Pastor Morgan. There was never a known reason which surfaced to explain why Warner Brothers used Road's voice rather than the actual credited actors in the two episodes although likely it was due to poor recording quality of the voice of the original performers. However, this voiceover work predates his first voice role in an animated series (Jonny Quest (1964)), and was a precursor to his greatest claim to fame as one of most recognizable voice actors in the genre.
