Indie Horror ‘The Only Ones’ Makes Eerie Entrance at FrightFest
Image
FrightFest 2025 will welcome the international premiere of The Only Ones, an independent horror-thriller written, directed and shot by Jordan Miller. The screening will take place on Thursday 21 August in Discovery Theatre Two at the Odeon Luxe West End, offering UK audiences their first look at a film that blends familiar horror structures with a creeping sense of moral decay and internal threat.

Positioned firmly within the festival’s Discovery strand, The Only Ones explores a tight group of friends whose seemingly minor misfortunes spiral rapidly into violence. As bodies fall and trust begins to erode, the group is forced to reckon with an idea more disturbing than any outside threat: that the danger may lie within.

Miller, co-founder of Future Phantoscope, is known for his work across film, music and audio storytelling. His previous short Three and the upcoming anthology The Black Hills Night Hike reflect a continued interest in...

Don't Make a Sound (2024)
Don’t Make A Sound Comes To Streaming And DVD February 11
Don't Make a Sound (2024)
When you hear about an indie horror film that calls itself “Don’t Make A Sound,” you might expect it to be a low-budget ripoff of the Quiet Place series, but it is not. The reason the central characters of this story can’t make a sound is not because of killer aliens, but simply a killer person.

The setup is a classic one: the middle of nowhere, a deranged killer, no other means of assistance. A nameless woman is driving across the country, taking her ten-year-old sister to stay with relatives after the passing of their mother. But then, one nasty run of bad luck occurs: their car breaks down, and the only way to seek help is to venture into the vast forest. They don’t find it, they find the aforementioned deranged killer, who starts hunting them down. Don’t Make A Sound is also a found footage movie,...

Tahoe Joe 2 will make you believe in Bigfoot
Image
The true life friendship duo of Dillon Brown and Michael Rock is never more present than what the two bring to their on-screen “bromance” in Tahoe Joe. Brown and Rock met while Brown was working on a horror film in 2021 and the two hit off immediately. They love making found footage style horror films together, but more importantly, have learned that casting veterans and first-responders who suffer from Ptsd (something Rock battles routinely from his time as a Green Beret during the Iraq war and in his current position as an investigator tackling child sex crimes and eliminating child predators for a three-letter agency.) have greatly benefited from acting as a form of therapy. Because of this, the two have cast veterans and first responders in favor of traditional actors in most of their films.

A Night of the Undead posits that in 1968 the world was shaken by an outbreak known today as the “Night of the Living Dead.” However, debate has raged over the years about whether the event was real or an urban legend. Now, on the anniversary of the event a group of [arrogant] podcasters – Adam (Mason Johnson), Judy (Mckenzie Clay), Piper (Brianna Phipps) and Brady (Denny Kidd) – head out to the farmhouse where the events allegedly took place to see for themselves whether the dead ever really did rise from their graves to feast on the flesh of the living…
