Sons: Thomas (born 1989) and Josh (born 1990), both with Nicholas Allott, and Sam (born 2000) with Tom Gutteridge.

She doesn't have any Swedish ancestry, but chose the Swedish name Anneka (named after the sister of a friend) because Anne and its variations were already taken when she joined Equity, and she wanted something similar.

Voted "Rear Of The Year" by The Sun newspaper in 1987 after she became famous for her role in Treasure Hunt (1982), clad in a figure-hugging jumpsuit and pursued by a cameraman.

Began her television career on English-language television in Hong Kong, where she lived from 1978 - 1982.
