  • On Tuesday, April 4th, 2006, while having dinner in a restaurant with Christian Rauth, he collapsed because of a heart attack. Sent to a hospital, he had another heart attack which was fatal to him, one week later, on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 11th.
  • He met Christian Rauth on the set of "Navarro". In the script, despite their difference of behavior, the tough and slightly violent Inspector René Auquelin (Rauth) and the shy and quiet Inspector Joseph Blomet (Rialet) were described as best friends. And indeed, Rauth and Rialet became best friends, even having a brother-like relationship. Together, they create the mini-series "Les monos" and "Père et maire".
