Was known as "Fake Jan" to some fans because of her portrayal of "Jan Brady" on The Brady Bunch Variety Hour (1976).

She was one of three finalists for the leading role in L'Exorciste (1973) but was withdrawn by her mother after a neighbor heard about it and dropped by their house with a copy of the book.

She has two grown children. She lived with her husband in Southern California, until their divorce in 2010. (March 2025)

Is mother to James Joseph (J.J.) born in November 1983, and Erin Nicole, born in December of 1986.

While shooting The Brady Bunch Variety Hour (1976), Geri was frequently nervous about having to work around a swimming pool. This was due to an acute fear of deep water...a phobia she shares with the late Natalie Wood.
