  • Convicted of bribery involving a real-estate transaction in 1973 and served one year in jail.
  • In the 1960s wound up in prison and was aided by Gene Autry in getting released.
  • Retired from performing to become a public relations rep.
  • Headed Ronald Reagan's Democratic political group during his bid for the California governorship.
  • Was survived by 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren!
  • Hosted the "Phil Regan Armed Forces" radio show in 1951.
  • Musical film lead for both Republic and Monogram Pictures.
  • Handsome, popular Irish-American tenor of the 30's and 40's who appeared in a film or two.
