Jeffrey Reddick is best known for creating the Destination finale (2000) film franchise. He also co-wrote the story for, and executive produced, Destination finale 2 (2003). Jeffrey lives in Los Angeles. He grew up in Eastern Kentucky and attended Berea College. Jeffrey made his first connection to the film industry at age 14, when he wrote a prequel to Les Griffes de la nuit (1984) and mailed it Bob Shaye, the President of New Line Cinema. Bob returned the material for being unsolicited. But the young man wrote Bob an aggressive reply, which won him over. Bob read the treatment and got back to Jeffrey. Bob, and his assistant, Joy Mann, stayed in contact with Jeffrey for over five years. When he went to The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York at age 19, Bob offered him an internship at New Line Cinema. This internship turned into an 11-year stint at the studio.

Aside from Destination finale (2000), which spawned four successful sequels, Jeffrey's other credits include Lions Gate's thriller, Tamara (2005), remake of George Romero's classic Le Jour des morts (2008). He also wrote and The Call (2020), starring Lin Shaye and produced Tobin Bell, Til Death Do Us Part (2023) and The Other (2025)

In television, Jeffrey served as a supervising producer on Season 3 of HereTV's Dante's Cove (2004) and as a story editor on Season 2 of NBC's Midnight, Texas (2017). He staffed on 2 animated series for Netflix; The Emmy-nominated A Tale Dark & Grimm (2021) and Lapin samouraï: Les chroniques d'Usagi (2022).

Jeffrey made his feature director debut in 2022 with his thriller Don't Look Back (2020)

    • Trivia
He always wanted to be in filmmaking. At 14, after watching "A Nightmare on Elm Street" he typed a 10-page prequel and sent it to New Line Cinema. But the studio wasn't sold on the unsolicited manuscript and sent it back to him. So he sent New Line chairman Robert Shaye a surly letter. Shaye responded saying Reddick had "a fertile imagination" but his story "lacked structure." Reddick then started a letter-and-phone relationship with Shaye and his assistant. Reddick landed an internship with New Line during college and he worked there for almost 11 years. New Line produced Jeffrey's first screenplay (originally called Flight 180) which became the hit franchise "Final Destination." Jeffrey finally quit his full time job at New Line after selling his treatment for "Final Destination 2.".
