  • A member of Chicago's Second City in the '70s, he replaced John Belushi when Belushi took off to do SNL.
  • His name is pronounced "RAH-shee".
  • Blond, handsome actor, known for his Clint Eastwood "Dirty Harry" take-off on TV's Mr. Gun (1986) in the late 1980s.
  • His wife Heather Rasche has a guest role in Mr. Gun (1986), as ex-Mrs. Hammer (episode Here's to You, Mrs. Hammer (1988)).
  • His close association with David Mamet led to him becoming a major interpreter of the playwright's works -- including "Sexual Perversity in Chicago", "Speed-the-Plow" and "Edmond".
  • Was on the original artistic board -- nicknamed the Eight Great Tomatoes -- of Chicago's Victory Gardens Theatre along with Warren Casey, Cecil O'Neal, Mac McGinnes, Cordis Heard (then Cordis Fejer), Stuart Gordon, Roberta Maguire and June Pyskacek. Each chipped in $1,000 or the equivalent toward the new venture, circa 1973.
  • He played "Admiral Piett" in the NPR radio dramatization of L'Empire contre-attaque (1980) (1983).
  • Graduated from Elmhurst College and the University of Chicago.
  • Has played the President in the show DAG (2000) and the film The Sentinel (2006).
  • Born in St. Louis but raised in Illinois.
  • In 2020 the series "Nurses" celebrated it's 30th anniversary.
  • Starred in the television series Nurses (1991) as the character Jack. In 2014 he continued this role for the movie "Amira and Sam".
