    Staff announcer at Los Angeles Radio station KFWB, using the name "Gil Warren". Among many other programs produced at the station, Gil was the announcer for "The Warner Bros. Academy Award Theater", a weekly Radio show that was aired live on KFWB, and was syndicated to over 100 local radio stations around the United States. The program was dreamed up by the Warner Bros. film studio (owners of KFWB at the time) in order to keep their highly-paid stars working when they were not making a film.
