After an extensive career in the motion picture industry, including 22 years at Artisan/Lionsgate Entertainment, Timothy Scott Ralston embarked on a new chapter in 2022. He explored the world and pursued his passions for photography and writing, eventually making a new home in Tokyo, Japan, utilizing his experience operating as a senior producer and production/post-production advisor for various companies.

Throughout his career, Ralston collaborated with various top talent across the industry, including A-list actors, directors, producers, editors, sound designers, and studio executives. Ralston played a pivotal role in establishing the sought-after Lionsgate Screening Room as the premier screening facility on the 'West Side,' attracting other studios and filmmakers. As the Lionsgate studio expanded and became know as the "7th Major," Ralston and his team handled a multitude of screenings worldwide, ranging from premieres and research screenings to publicity events, visual effects reviews, and VIP talent screenings.

With the industry's transition from film to digital formats, Ralston remained at the forefront of technological advancements, experimenting with cutting-edge technology to develop state-of-the-art screening pipelines. He collaborated with esteemed industry leaders such as Skywalker Sound, IMAX, Dolby, Avid, Adobe, Blackmagic, Christie, JBL, RealD, and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.

Ralston frequently provided advisory services for other production companies, such as Open Road Films, Roadside Attractions, Lakeshore Entertainment, Millennium Media, Netflix, and Summit Entertainment.

Ralston's list of credits includes involvement in popular franchises such as The Hunger Games, John Wick, Twilight, Expendables, and Saw, as well as acclaimed hits like La La Land, Knives Out, Now You See Me, Hacksaw Ridge, and Wonder.

Ralston's journey in the film industry began at a young age, working in a wide range of production roles, including grip, gaffer, 35mm assistant camera operator, and assistant director on commercials and industrial films. He gained his first professional Hollywood experience as Dick Van Dyke's stand-in in the star-studded movie Dick Tracy. Subsequently, he secured a position at Universal as an assistant film editor at twenty-one. He swiftly rose to the role of Post-Production Coordinator by the age of twenty-three, overseeing four television shows. During this time, Ralston also pursued independent film and digital editor work while managing the esteemed 'Bel-Air' circuit of private screening rooms throughout Los Angeles for fifteen years.

In addition to his involvement in the film industry, Ralston dedicated his passion in theater as stage manager at the Lonny Chapman Group Repertory Theater in NoHo. He also served as an first assistant director on the independent feature "Movies Til Dawn," and demonstrated his skills as a self-taught VFX artist by supervising and designing visual effects shots for various producers.

Ralston consults writers and producers on their creative projects.
