Gregoire Melin’s Kinology, the Paris-based company handling Leos Carax’s and Mia Hansen-Love’s next films, has added a string of ambitious new films from a mix of emerging and seasoned directors.

Kinology has launched sales on “A Girl’s Room,” a stylish psychological thriller directed by Finnish up-and-coming helmer Aino Suni; “The Divide,” a stars-packed film by French director Catherine Corsini (“Three Worlds”); “Third Grade” by veteran director Jacques Doillon (“Ponette”); and “Morning Calm,” a director-driven sprawling thriller by Denis Dercourt. ‘Holy Motors’ Director Leos Carax Will Soon Start Production on ‘Annette’ With Adam Driver and Rihanna
Marion Cotillard and Adam Driver in Annette (2021)
Amazon Studios has acquired the U.S. and Canadian distribution rights to “Annette,” starring Adam Driver and Rihanna, as reported by Variety. The musical drama will be helmed by French director Leos Carax (“Holy Motors”), who’s working in English for the first time.

“I hope to make a film one day that will be music. I wanted life in music, that is what I wanted here,” Carax told IndieWire’s Eric Kohn back in 2012. Now, he gets to do exactly that.

Shooting for “Annette” will begin in the spring and include several international locations. The film will feature original songs by American art-rock band Sparks.
