Amy then revealed she was dying of cancer and wanted to reunite with Damian before she died. Nate agreed to help Amy, and the two bonded as they searched for Damian. Yet, some viewers believe Amy isn’t trustworthy.

Viewers may have noticed that a new name was added to the closing credits on General Hospital Friday. The September 6 credits rolled and as the contract players’s names were shown Sawandi Wilson caught the eye of many. He is listed as playing the character Dr. Isaiah Gannon.

Jason Morgan (portrayed by Steve Burton) was the first person to introduce Isaiah to viewers.

Gannon… Gannon… Gannon… Now, where did we hear that name before? Oh, yeah! Norah Hannon Gannon Buchanon (Hillary Bailey Smith). She came to Port Charles in 2017 as a lawyer for Valentin (James Patrick Stuart).

For decades before that, Norah was a leading lady on One Life to Live, including when Gh’s current Executive Producer, Frank Valentini, performed the same job for the folks of Llanview. This obviously non-coincidence makes us think that Isaiah’s (Sawandi Wilson — here’s what you need to know) last name, Gannon, wasn’t just plucked from a hat. It has to mean something.

Warner Bros is pursuing a new take on the 1970s hit, Super Fly...

Super Fly is the latest movie to get a remake, it's been revealed. And it's got a bit of a bar to live up to.

Curtis Mayfield’s soundtrack for the 1972 classic street hustler film Super Fly was as cinematic as the movie it was recorded for, for example. The title track and the song “Freddy’s Dead” bounced off the sidewalks of America and soared on the charts. Songs like “Pusherman” and “Little Child” were heartbreaking snippets of the dual realities of uptown street life.

The screenplay for Super Fly will be written by Alex Tse, who wrote Watchmen and Spike Lee’s under-appreciated Sucker Free City. The director and star hasn’t been named yet. But the big question, for this writer, is who will score?

1911: One of the greatest entertainers of all time, Lucille Ball, was born (100 years ago!). She died in 1989 at age 77. There are some interesting ties between Lucy and soap operas. Y&R's Melody Thomas Scott is a founding board member of the Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Center, which runs the Lucy-Desi Museum in Ball's home town of Jamestown, NY. The center is trying to set a world record today for “most people dressed as Lucy Ricardo in one place, at one time.” Oltl's Robin Strasser's sons, Nicholas and Benjamin, are Lucy's step-grandchildren (through Laurence Luckinbill's marriage to Lucie Arnaz). General Hospital's Maurice Benard played Desi Arnaz in a television movie (read our interview with Benard about the role here). Lucy's also made a guest appearance on The Carol Burnett Show and appeared in the "As The Stomach Turns" parody.
