  • Jonathan Winters's popular character Maude "Granny" Frickert was named partly in tribute to Maudie Prickett.
  • Character actress known for portraying nosy neighbors, maiden ladies, prissy teachers, sassy maids and busy-bodies.
  • Played five roles on the TV series Ma sorcière bien aimée (1964), usually as a teacher for Tabitha.
  • May best be remembered for both her roles as Miss Gordon, Jack Benny's secretary on The Jack Benny Program (1950) or Rosie the neighbor maid on Adèle (1961).
  • Children: Charles Fillmore Prickett III (27 September, 1949-16 October, 2006) and Charie Doyle Prickett Laugharn (born 1950).
  • She is buried at Mountain View Cemetery in Altadena, California.
  • Many Hollywood film fans would mistake her and Dorothy Neumann for Margaret Hamilton.
  • She appeared uncredited in the first episode of the popular 1960's television series "The Fugitive" playing the babysitter for Vera Miles' character's child.
  • Sister-in-law of Oliver Blake.
