The new film is directed by Nathan Price and stars the book’s author, Mark Manson, who serves as a guide through the ceaseless barrage of modern life, and the existential dread and malaise it so often inspires. Universal has released the first trailer for “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a #@!,” an innovative new documentary based on Mark Manson’s bestselling self-help book exploring society’s obsession with the pursuit of happiness.

Directed by Nathan Price and produced by Matthew Metcalfe, the documentary adapts Manson’s book, which has sold more than 15 million copies worldwide since it was published in 2017. According to the film’s official synopsis, the new movie is “a cinematic documentary designed to help us become less awful people” with some unvarnished truths, delivered via R-rated language.

Manson stars in the documentary, guiding the story as he “cuts through the crap to offer his not-giving-a-#@! philosophy: a dose of raw, refreshing honesty that shows us how to live more contented, grounded lives.”

“You’re going to die one day. I just wanted to remind you,” the author says, kicking off the movie’s trailer...

Dead for a Dollar trailer: Christoph Waltz, Willem Dafoe star in new Walter Hill western
Image
It’s been a while since we’ve seen a movie from the legendary director behind The Warriors, 48 Hours, and Streets of Fire. Walter Hill hasn’t released a movie for over five years, but thankfully, that dry spell has ended. Quiver Distribution has released the new trailer for Dead for a Dollar, a western starring Christoph Waltz, Willem Dafoe, and Rachel Brosnahan.

Christoph Waltz stars in Dead for a Dollar as Max Borlund, a famed bounty hunter hired to find Rachel Price (Brosnahan), the politically progressive wife of Santa Fe businessman Nathan Price. Told that she’s been kidnapped by an African American army deserter and being held for ransom in Mexico, Max goes south of the border in search of her, only to run across his sworn enemy, Joe Cribbens (Dafoe), a professional...

Law & Order: Mehcad Brooks Joins Season 22 Cast

Law & Order Season 22 is rounding out its cast following some high-profile departures.

Supergirl veteran, Mehcad Brooks, has landed a role on the Dick Wolf procedural.

Brooks will play a detective, but we don't have any details about the character beyond that, unfortunately.

The star is best known for playing Jimmy Olsen on The CW's Supergirl, a role he left behind during Supergirl Season 5.

Thankfully for fans, he returned one year later for the series finale of the Melissa Benoist-led superhero drama.

Brooks has also appeared on True Blood, The Game, and even an episode of Law & Order: Svu.

Anthony Anderson, who reprised his role as Detective Kevin Bernard on the revival season, has departed after one season back in the role.

Anderson signed a one-year deal when his casting was announced, and recent reports have suggested the star wanted to help get the revival off the ground before moving on to new projects.
