- In 2020, Andrew resigned as a working royal following accusations from Virginia Roberts Giuffre that she had been sex-trafficked to Andrew by Jeffrey Epstein when she was 17 years old; Andrew denied the allegations. Giuffre sued Andrew for assault in a civil case, which was settled in 2022 after Andrew agreed to make a sizable donation to Giuffre's charity for victims of abuse.
