Brother of Earl Pomerantz

Works in Toronto, Canada as a lawyer.

Hosted a short-lived game show in 1974 on CBC called Double Up.

Had a variety show on CBC from 1970-71 with Lorne Michaels called The Hart and Lorne Terrific Hour. A total of 10 one-hour episodes were produced.

[on hitting the big time with Lorne Michaels in Hollywood]'The Beautiful Phyllis Diller Show' ran for about three months. I walked into my office one day and everything was gone. They'd put the staff of 'The Jerry Lewis Show' there. Nobody bothered to tell me that the show had been cancelled I walked down the hall, hunched over and dejected, and was knocked down by Dan Rowan and Dick Martin. They were worried that they had injured me, so we talked and they asked me to send some of our radio tapes. We were hired to do 'Laugh-In's opening dialogues for a year, and we even received an Emmy nomination. we also wrote stand-up material for Woody Allen.
