Discovered Off-Off-Broadway, JP was cast in a lead in his first feature, as go-go boy Mark in the indie film Trick, which was nominated for the Sundance Film Festival's Grand Jury Prize and lives on as a cult classic on the Criterion Channel. He has appeared on dozens of TV shows, including 2 seasons of HBO's acclaimed Six Feet Under as Phil the cremator, the second of which won the SAG Award for Best Ensemble in a TV Drama. He can most recently be seen as a drug lord on ABC's The Rookie. JP has worked extensively in voice overs, having narrated hundreds of hours for MTV and VH1 series, and sold you everything you never knew you wanted on TV commercial voice overs. He has taught acting and voice to BFA/MFA students, and recently made a return to the stage as Tom in The Glass Menagerie for the 30th Annual Tennessee Williams Festival.
