Lew Sleeman
Lew Sleeman was an actor and singer known for The Lost Platoon, Picket Fences, Running Mates and Unsolved Mysteries. Lew was born in Mount Vernon, Ohio. As a high school student Lew was active in high school bands. After graduation he was in early 60's Rock and Roll bands. Moving to Los Angeles in the early 1970's, he worked for Filmation Studios while developing his acting skills in a number of workshops and performances. In the late 1990's he returned to Ohio to be closer to family. He appeared in films, television and occasionally plays. He was the lead singer for the Kokosing River Surf Club, a band specializing in classic Rock and Roll, Blues, and Jazz, and later was in the trio band Side Effects.

In May 2017 he received the Best Actor award at the Southern Ohio Film Festival for his sensitive portrayal of "Joe", a father in the early stages of dementia in the 48-Hour Film Project short film Little Ann.

In August 2018 he received the Best Actor award at the Los Angeles Film Awards for his portrayal of Charles Galloway, Jr. in the Indie feature film After.

Lew passed away in July 2022 following a brief illness. He was survived by two daughters, three grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, a sister and three brothers.
