Arthur Pierson
Arthur Pierson, who was raised in Seattle, Washington, made his Broadway debut in 1929 and then signed up with Paramount Pictures. Paramount used him as a rehearsal director for Cecil B. DeMille and Ernst Lubitsch. He played in a couple films for Fox and returned to Broadway in 1935, marrying co-star Ruth Matteson in 1937. He returned to Hollywood in the 1940s and directed a handful of films before moving into television. Pierson was an executive at Hanna-Barbera when he passed away from a heart attack.
