‘Natural Selection’ Wins Big at 2011 SXSW Film Festival Awards
Writer/director Robert Pickering gathered numerous awards at Tuesday night’s awards ceremony for the 2011 SXSW Film Festival at the Vimeo Theater in Austin’s Convention Center. Natural Selection, about an infertile Texas housewife who searches for her dying husband’s illegitimate son, won the audience award for narrative feature, best screenplay, best editing and best score/music prizes in addition to its grand jury prize. Stars Rachael Harris and Matt O’Leary also took home breakthrough performance prizes.
