The X Factor 2015: Judges' Houses - live blog
Boot Camp lasted five weeks - yes, that's right, five weeks - but tonight, we finally have some progression, and the final 24 are off to Judges' Houses to be whittled down to the final 12. Cheryl takes the Groups to Rome, Simon takes the Overs to the South of France, Rita takes the Girls to La... and Nick takes the Boys to the Cotswolds. Awkward.

Join us from 8pm and we'll bring you all the action live as it happens. We can't wait to comment on all of the judges' interior design prowess (and also, we suppose, whether the acts are any good). In the meantime, here's 8 of the past best ever Judges' Houses moments - we wonder what kind of tears, celebrity cameos and pool-jumping antics we've got in store this evening?

22:22And that's it! It took two and a half hours, but we made it! We're so glad that our favourites 4th Impact,...

The X Factor 2015 review: Have Rita and Grimmy revitalised the show?
The grumbles that The X Factor has lost its touch have been rumbling for a while. And when even Louis Walsh is fed up of the show, maybe you do have a problem.

But like Louis returning for the X Factor promo, we just can't quite let go. We've heard Simon Cowell's grand proclamations of change for years now, so would this time around really be any different?

It's early days, but on the strength of the first episode last night, well, yes.

This is a show both comfortable with its past - nods to Wagner and Tesco Mary - and looking forward to its future. Gone are the sickening X Factor standards, as the judges urge acts to choose something different from the Whitneys and Beyoncés we've heard so often before. Nick Grimshaw even dubs one song "a bit X Factor audition".

And the show's tongue in cheek,...

The X Factor 2015 video round-up: Relive the best (and the worst) auditions from tonight's show
The X Factor treated us to 13 acts tonight - and wow, what a bunch they were. You couldn't really accuse the talent of being samey-samey tonight, when you had everything from Techno Susie to 4th Power to (sniff, sob) Jon Goodey.

If you want to relive tonight's action, you're in luck - here's your video round-up, with the acts ranked from worst to best...

13. Man & Woman

"I think we should just go solo, yeah?"

12 & 11. Jamie Mitchell & Kelly Kiernan

We can't take the nerves.

10. Dani Clay

We saw about five seconds of Dani. She might be good? But we can't check, because she doesn't even get her own video. Sorry, Dani.

9. Jon Goodey

We can't watch this again. We're too devastated. Poor Olly. Poor Jon.

8. Susan Pryce

Techno Techno Techno Techno

7. Tom Davies

Bieber. Dancing. Our hearts are won.

6. Mason Noise

Gets one up on Tom Davies because he's called Mason Noise.

The X Factor 2015: From Robot Boy to Techno Susie, the 15 best bits from tonight's show
The X Factor kicked off in true style tonight - great acts, funny judges and loads of brilliant moments. But some bits stood out more than others...

1. The return of Wagner

"It's Vagner!"

2. Grimmy and Cheryl scaring Simon and Rita

Cheeky.

3. Literally everything about Techno Susie

From her talk of cockatiel Peter and his feelings about her being on the show ("I don't think he minds or cares, you know") to Techno Techno Techno Techno to the joy we feel in our hearts when we watch her.

4. But especially this Rita Ora gif

5. And Simon's snark

"This is why our chairs don't spin."

6. Lauren's complete inability to choose a song by someone other than Whitney Houston.

"Apart from Whitney, what other uptempo songs have you got?" "'I Wanna Dance With Somebody'?" "By Whitney." "'How Will I Know'?" "By Whitney."

7. Robot Boy dancing in the crowd to Lauren.

Life-affirming.

8. Man & Woman's on-off romance.

X Factor: Jennifer Phillips earns a standing ovation after wowing with Mary Mary's 'Shackles'
Jennifer Phillips got the crowd and judges bouncing, delivering an X Factor audition to remember with a brilliant rendition of Mary Mary's 'Shackles'.

It wasn't plain sailing at the start for the Camden Town contestant, as the judges were put off by her original song choice, Beyoncé's 'Halo'.

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini ended up recommending that she sing 'Shackles', and it proved to be an inspired suggestion.

Jennifer got the judges on their feet with her performance, and received a standing ovation at the end.

Ora said that she needed a "constant standing ovation", and Jennifer got four 'yeses' to reach the next round.

The X Factor continues tomorrow at 8pm.
