Born to a sophisticated mother and a world-known scientist, Hans grew
up in an open-minded, cosmopolitan environment. His family roots go
back to the romantic poet and playwright Friedrich Schiller
(1759-1805).
Before a career in film, Hans was an award-winning architect in his home country of Germany. He holds his MFA in Architecture from the Technical University of Berlin, and received his MFA in Production Design from the American Film Institute, where he assisted the legendary production designer Robert Boyle in 1999. Thereafter Hans was a teaching assistant at Diane Salinger Acting Studio for many years, where he directed several experimental short films with acting students.
He has worked in a variety of roles in the entertainment industry over the past five years - from production designer, visual effects artist, editor to actor, producer and director. In the recent couple of years he completed visual effects work for David Fincher's Panic Room (2002), Steven Spielberg's Minority Report (2002)and Disney Channel films. His collaboration and contribution with Director Daniel Raim helped the documentary _Man On Lincoln's Nose, The (2000)_ to get an Academy Award© Nomination. As an actor he played roles in Hallmark Television movies in the last season. He initially directed and choreographed Raveling, his dance-theatre debut in Los Angeles.
His current production is the high-profile documentary Moonwatcher - Meeting The Unknown, which features influential and creative minds of our times.
