Currently works for the sport club Titan Academy in Malaga, with high rank Menkyo Kaiden Shihan, teaches adults karate and jiu-jitsu.

Francois Petit was heavily involved in the production of Mortal Kombat (1995) since the early 90's. It was only because they couldn't find a suitable actor for Subzero, that Petit got the role for himself. But because of his involvement behind the camera, Subzero's screen time had to be limited.

Petit is also an accredited chiropractor whose clientele has included professional wrestler Mick Foley. Petite can even be seen treating Foley ringside at the 1998 King of the Ring event, and Foley wrote of Petit fondly in his autobiography "Mankind: A tale of Blood and Sweat Socks".

Petit grew up with a family of trained dancers and ballet professionals. Petit himself trained at the World renown Paris Opera Ballet School. He also trained with the Bolshoi.
