Eddie Perez(I)

Eddie Perez was born in New York City-a place where you can either watch the world go by or dive into everything it has to offer. Eddie chose the latter. An active and ambitious kid, he spent summers with family in Puerto Rico and became an Eagle Scout at just thirteen. In high school, he played multiple sports and boxed in the Golden Gloves. He went on to earn a degree in education with a minor in biology and athletic training hours from Long Island University. While in school, Eddie worked as a doorman at iconic New York nightclubs like Heartbreaks, The Fun House, and The Underground. Known for his calm demeanor, intelligence, and physical presence, he connected with numerous celebrities during this time. After graduation, actor Mickey Rourke encouraged Eddie to move to Los Angeles, where he began personal training with Rourke and Anthony Michael Hall. While training Hall, Eddie met the band Duran Duran and soon became their personal trainer and bodyguard, eventually rising to Head of Security. He later served in the same role for Pink Floyd, touring the world with both bands and receiving advanced training in VIP protection in Israel, South Africa, and the U.S. After wrapping years of world touring and bodyguard work for stars like Sylvester Stallone and Sandra Bullock, Eddie turned toward his true passion: film. He studied acting under Peter Flood and trained in stunts with Paul Stader. With his work ethic and drive, Eddie quickly built a reputation as a top stuntman and coordinator. He has since worked as Stunt Coordinator and 2nd Unit Director on major films like Blade and Shoot 'Em Up, and served as Stunt Coordinator for all nine seasons of Showtime's Shameless, winning three Primetime Emmy Awards. As a performer, he appears in Deadpool and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Most recently, Eddie directed the award-winning short film The Test of Time. In addition to his on-set work, Eddie is a member of the Television Academy's Stunt Peer Group and serves on its Innovation Advisory Committee, helping shape the future of the industry. Eddie's mission is to bring the scripted vision to life with creativity, practicality, and the highest standard of safety.
