    He wrote the first original audio production based on Docteur Who (1963) called "Doctor Who and the Pescatons". Released in July 1976 by Argo Records, it featured the series' then current stars, Tom Baker and Elisabeth Sladen, as the Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith. In 1991, Pemberton novelized the story for Target Books. He also wrote a novel based upon his 1968 "Doctor Who" serial "Fury from the Deep" (again for Target) in 1986.
