An!ela premiered on Netflix on June 11, 2025, introducing a Polish dramedy centered on a wealthy Warsaw woman whose world falls apart after a very public scandal. About the Series:

When her husband Janek leaves her after a scandal and files for divorce, Aniela (Małgorzata Kożuchowska) loses her wealth, status, and home. To avoid prison, she surrenders custody and exits her past. Stranded in a working-class Warsaw neighborhood, she’s forced to adapt with only her wit. Over eight episodes, she clashes, stumbles, and grows, with each installment exploring her evolving relationship to her ex, her daughter, new friends, and her own sense of self.

Sexify is a funny (and dramatic) Polish series about teens and the lives of these girls and thier new app. After the success of the first season, a second season has been released, which using the same daring lines, lets us see a more modern country in the pattern of classic American comedy… with, obviously, the subject of sexual discovery which is the great catalyzing element in the story, for its marketing and for the audience.

Money can buy outside help, opportunity and material possessions, but not happiness in “My Wonderful Wanda,” a punchy satire from Swiss auteur Bettina Oberli (“Late Bloomers”). Taking a wry but empathetic approach to the phenomenon of care migration, Oberli and her co-writer Cooky Ziesche focus on the changing relationship between one privileged Swiss family and their financially fragile Polish home-care worker over nine months. Naturalistically shot and structured as three chapters and an epilogue, it’s an engaging, mostly well-acted tale, full of surprising twists, even if some seem a bit too on the nose. Opening in theaters and virtual cinemas on April 23, this Zeitgeist Films release should segue from international film festival favorite to modest art-house hit.
