Dan Pattarson was born on July 26, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois, USA as Daniel Pattarson. He was an actor, known for Fatso (1980), Hotel of the Stars (1981) and The Perfect Match (1988). He died on February 16, 2005 in Louisville, Kentucky, USA.
Dan was good-natured fellow who was an avid and well known autograph collector. Playing bit roles, or working as an extra, gave Dan access to many film and TV sets, where he would not let an opportunity pass-by to acquire a new signature for his collection.
Dan never owned a car, but rather used public transportation (often with close friend Dolores Mills, or other "up and coming collectors", who were looking to learn more about the hobby from him) to travel around Los Angeles. Dan would visit Walk of Fame ceremonies, live theater appearances, famous celebrity hang outs, memorial services, or wherever he had to go to secure the autograph treasure he was looking for. Dan accumulated thousands of autographs during his lifetime, the majority of which he would meticulously record the date and location/event, of where the signature was obtained, on the back of each photo.
