  • She was runner up in an evening paper 'Girl of the Year' contest and went on to be a dancer on the B.B.C.'s Top of the Pops then turned to acting.
  • When she first met Mickey Rooney on the set of Lightning, l'étalon blanc (1986), he jokingly asked if he could knock the red hat she was wearing off her head. To which she responded "I wish you would, because I hate it".
  • Won the LA Critics Award in 1985 for her performance as Olivia in the Hollywood theater production of 'Twelfth Night'.
  • Was offered the supporting role of Lucy-Ann in Le trésor de Box Canyon (1973) by Kirk Douglas, but turned down the offer to headline the film La rose de fer (1973) instead. The part was later given to Lesley-Anne Down.
