Bret 'Brook' Parker

Watch: Pixar's First SparkShorts Film 'Purl' Directed by Kristen Lester
"Let's bring finance in and knit our strategies together." Pixar has debuted the first charming, provocative short film as part of their new SparkShorts program online today - for free for everyone to watch. And it's worth a watch, for sure! The short is titled Purl, and it's about a pink ball of yarn that gets hired at a startup. From Pixar: "An earnest ball of yarn named Purl gets a job at a fast-paced, high energy, male centric start-up. Things start to unravel as she tries to fit in with this close knit group. Purl must ask herself how far is she willing to go to get the acceptance she yearns for and in the end is it worth it?" Directed by Kristen Lester, and featuring the voice of Bret 'Brook' Parker as Purl. It's a fantastic little short about workplace discrimination and giving people a chance beyond their appearances.

Toy Story’s Small Fry Image – Micro Buzz Lightyear Meets Micro Zurg
The Muppets is in Us cinemas today and we have to wait flippin ages until February 2012 to see it. No, we are Not happy! Another reason that we are not happy is that the short film which will sit in front of The Muppets is a new one from Pixar using Toy Story and has the name Small Fry. We’ve seen a couple of images and a clip already but I think this one might be my favourite as it shows Mini Buzz getting to meet Mini Zurg. I guess if he met normal-sized Zurg it would be an unfair fight!

The voice cast is comprised of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, John Ratzenberger, Wallace Shawn, Joan Cusack, Estelle Harris,Don Rickles, Jane Lynch, Teddy Newton, Emily Hahn, Angus MacLane, Lori Alan, Josh Cooley, Jess Harnell, Bret Parker, Emily Forbes, Kitt Hirasaki, Peter Sohn, Carlos Alazraqui, Bob Bergen, Timothy Dalton,...
