Well, Nintendo just announced the Switch 2 in a Direct live stream. But, you know what they didn’t tell us in the official stream? The fact that we will be paying nearly $100 for first-party Switch 2 games. So if you’re a PS5 or Xbox user out there, you can point and laugh because Nintendo just pulled off an Apple.
The cost of some first-party games for the Switch 2 will be significantly higher than what players are used to paying. Mario Kart World is the launch title for the Switch 2 and it will cost $79.99 for digital and $89.99 for a physical copy.

As if we weren’t already sick of the $70 prices, Nintendo is one-upping the entire industry.
Nintendo’s new pricing strategy is kinda ridiculous
Nintendo recently announced the Switch 2 with a dedicated Direct live stream.
