Thought to have been deceased by fans, he is alive and well. On August 8, 2002, news had spread that an actor who played Gordon on 1, rue Sésame (1969) had died. This news led many to think it was Orman, but in fact it was actually talented writer and actor Matt Robinson, who originated the role in 1969.
