Since the 2015 death of co-writer D.M. Marshman Jr., Olson has been the last surviving credited cast member of Boulevard du Crépuscule (1950).

Her then-husband Alan Jay Lerner's 1956 iconic smash hit musical, "My Fair Lady", was dedicated "For Nancy, With Love".

As of 2022, she is the second earliest surviving recipient of a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination, behind only Ann Blyth who was nominated in 1946 for Le roman de Mildred Pierce (1945). Olson was nominated in 1951 for Boulevard du Crépuscule (1950).

Was up for the role of Delilah in Cecil B. DeMille's lavish 1949 costumer Samson et Dalila (1949), for which she candidly admitted she was not suited. Hedy Lamarr got the role.

Gave birth to her 1st child at age 23, a daughter Liza Lerner on October 12, 1951 and to her 2nd child at age 25, a daughter Jennifer Lerner on August 26, 1953 (both by Olson's first husband, Alan Jay Lerner). She gave birth to her 3rd child at age 36, a son Christopher Livingston on November 13, 1964; his father was Olson's second husband, Alan Livingston.

According to Bruce Spizer's book The Beatles On Capitol Records, in interview with Alan Livingston, Nancy's husband, she laughed when he played her 'I Want To Hold Your Hand'. When he told her he thought it was going to be a big hit, she apparently said "are you kidding! I want to hold your hand!".
