Producers Tim and Trevor White Found Their ‘Eternity’ Screenwriter on a Tour of the West Wing
Image
It sounds kind of like a Mad Libs or the start of a very specific joke. Tim and Trevor White, the producers behind films like King Richard, were getting a tour of the West Wing of the White House as part of their prep for the 2016 biopic Lbj. Along with Rob Reiner and Woody Harrelson — the film’s respective director and star — their tour guide was an Obama-era aide who surprised the producers by asking whether he could send them a screenplay he had written. Nearly a decade later, the Whites and that presidential speechwriter-cum-screenwriter, Patrick Cunnane, are heading to TIFF with the A24 feature Eternity.

The movie stars Elizabeth Olsen as a recently deceased woman who has to choose whom to spend the afterlife with, her first husband (Callum Turner) or second (Miles Teller). The Whites’ Star Thrower Entertainment banner, with credits including the Sundance standout Fair Play,...

Propstore | Superhero movie memorabilia goes up for auction
Image
The Propstore auction includes lots of items from superhero movies ranging from Marvel’s The Avengers to Tim Burton’s Batman films.

As we already know, the Propstore auctions are filled with bits of movie history. Ranging from original scripts from Star Trek to a cable-controlled ovomorph from Avp, there’s something for just about everyone.

With superhero films being a constant fixture in modern cinema, it’s no surprise that many of the auction items come from some popular comic-book movies.

With Avengers: Doomsday currently in production, this chair back, signed by all the key cast, from The Avengers is a good find. Arguably, it’s a much more...

More Avengers: Age Of Ultron Never-Before-Seen Costume Photos Show Elizabeth Olsen's Many Scarlet Witch Poses
Image
Captain America: The Winter Soldier's post-credits scene revealed that the remnants of Hydra had used Loki's sceptre to give Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch their incredible powers (with the intention of using them to kill The Avengers).

WandaVision later revealed that their use of the Mind Stone had unlocked what was already there in Wanda Maximoff. Avengers: Age of Ultron initially used the twins as antagonists, and with 20th Century Fox holding the rights to the X-Men franchise at the time, they served Ultron, not Magneto.

Just like their comic book counterparts, Wanda and Pietro ultimately saw the error of their ways and joined the ranks of The Avengers.

Marvel surprises fans with first trailer for next MCU project (and it's insane)
Image
Marvel fans are pretty hopeful for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The legendary franchise had some uncharacteristic stumbles throughout Phase Five, as Multiverse Saga titles like Secret Invasion, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and The Marvels either underperformed during their releases or received negative reviews from critics (in some cases: Both!). However, things appear to be back on track as the franchise looks set to begin wrapping up the Multiverse Saga.

Recent theatrical releases like Thunderbolts* and The Fantastic Four: First Steps have set the stage for Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars nicely, restoring fans' faith in the franchise quite a lot. And Disney Plus outings like...

Marvel Zombies Unleashes A Trailer and Key Art For The Upcoming Disney Plus Series
Image
I, like many, have been pretty burned out on Marvel properties over recent years, mostly due to the nonstop onslaught of them. It got to the point of feeling like homework versus actual fun so I found myself pulling away from the television ventures. But if there’s one show that I’ve been looking forward to its Marvel Zombies. Anyone that’s read the comic knows that this series is brutally violent and features some truly shocking deaths that you just never see in the MCU space. And given how unique the other animated Marvel show “What If” has managed to be, I’ve got high hopes for this one.

Elizabeth Olsen Returns As Scarlet Witch In MCU Trailer

Following her tragic fate at the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in 2022, audience members have made it loud and clear that they are not ready to be done with Wanda Maximoff in the MCU timeline.

While The Multiverse Saga has only a handful of movies left, the rest of Marvel Studios' 2025 releases are some of their remaining TV shows. The final animated series for the MCU this year will be Marvel Zombies, which serves as a What If...? spinoff, and will consist of four episodes, similar to Eyes of Wakanda.

Marvel Zombies Trailer: First Look At MCU Blade In Action

The Marvel Cinematic Universe unleashes the trailer for its next project, Marvel Zombies, after a long wait. Marvel is having a busy year, with three MCU movies in 2025, which includes the debut of the Fantastic Four. On the TV side, the studio's efforts are divided between stories that are canon to the MCU project timeline and those that are not.

‘Marvel Zombies’ Trailer: Blade Finally Debuts and Kills Undead Avengers in Marvel’s First Mature Animated Series
Image
The first bloody trailer for the upcoming Disney+ animated series “Marvel Zombies” has been released.

The four-episode series releases on Sept. 24 and will be the first TV-ma animated series for Marvel. The trailer showcases tons of undead violence, dismembered limbs and the official Marvel debut of Blade Knight, a Moon Knight and Blade variant who slices up an undead Ghost from the Thunderbolts in a flashy display of swordsmanship. Todd Williams voices the vampire slayer, who’s a variant of Wesley Snipes’ classic character, who reappeared in “Deadpool & Wolverine,” and Mahershala Ali’s long-awaited hero, who was originally announced to star in a still-undeveloped movie in 2019.

“Marvel Zombies” started out as a Season 1 of “What If?” that reimagined the Marvel universe as a zombified nightmare. MCU characters like Ms. Marvel, Kate Bishop, Jimmy Woo, Yelena Belova, Okoye, Captain America, Wanda Maximoff, Namor, Abomination and many more reappear in “Marvel Zombies.

The photo finds Mollica and Locke standing side-by-side, with the caption "#twinning, which obviously refers to the fact that they are wearing similar-looking tops (wink wink).

Vision Quest: The Official Logo For Marvel's Wandavision Spin-Off Has Been Revealed

The title design for the WandaVision spin-off show - which now seems to be officially titled Vision Quest - was spotted on the back of a guy's t-shirt on the Liverpool set of Clayface. Whether this crew member is pulling double duty on both projects (seems like a lot of work) or simply visiting a friend on the Dcu film's set is unclear.

How to watch the MonsterVerse movies in order (including Monarch: Legacy of Monsters)
Image
Excuse the pun, but Legendary and Warner Bros.' MonsterVerse has been a Titan of Hollywood for over a decade now. The franchise has brought the two most legendary movie monsters back to the silver screen, taking them on solo adventures, making them face off against each other, and eventually teaming them up in what can only be described as larger-than-life showdowns. And, as audiences, we love to see Godzilla and King Kong embark on these adventures every single time.

The franchise has had some highs and lows along the way, with some of its earlier outings not getting the buzz they hoped and some of its more recent installments breaking franchise box office records.

New Photos Of Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch Costume From Avengers: Age Of Ultron Have Been Revealed
Image
In Captain America: The Winter Soldier's post-credits scene, we learned that Hydra had used Loki's sceptre to create Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch.

WandaVision later revealed that their use of the Mind Stone simply unlocked what was already there in Wanda Maximoff. However, in Avengers: Age of Ultron, the twins were introduced as antagonists.

Just like their comic book counterparts, Wanda and Pietro ultimately saw the error of their ways and joined the ranks of The Avengers. Quicksilver sacrificed his life to save Hawkeye, but the Scarlet Witch suited up as part of Captain America and Black Widow's new team.

Taylor Sheridan’s Most Beloved Western Guns Down Tom Hardy’s ‘Sopranos’ Replacement on Streaming Charts
Image
Taylor Sheridan has been crowned the king of the Western over the last few years, but his first TV show to break out and become a hit just accomplished an impressive streaming feat. Sheridan’s Yellowstone is streaming on Peacock in America and on Paramount+ globally, where it’s recently overtaken Tom Hardy’s MobLand, the gritty crime series that has been likened to The Sopranos. Yellowstone, which features Kevin Costner in the lead role, has also passed other shows like Dexter (Michael C. Hall) NCIS (Mark Harmon), and Tulsa King (Sylvester Stallone) on streaming charts nearly a year after it went off the air.

Sheridan’s TV empire began...

MCU’s Chaotic Method for Avengers: Doomsday to Avoid Any Leaks
Image
Alan Cumming is in Avengers: Doomsday, though, by his own hilarious admission, even he doesn’t quite know who with, where, or as what. The 60-year-old star confessed, chuckling in a recent interview (via Goldderby):

I did the entire film in isolation. Lots of green screen, face replacement. They even gave characters fake names. I don’t know who I was acting with half the time. I broke the internet by mentioning something once, but honestly, I might have got it wrong.

This wasn’t Marvel’s quirky sense of humor; it was apparently their latest strategy to fend off leaks, spoilers, and any sniff of narrative sabotage. And yet,...

Agatha All Along Star Joe Locke Spotted With Vision's Ruaridh Mollica - Is This The McU's Wiccan And Speed?
Image
Earlier this year, a first look at concept art from Avengers: Doomsday (possibly Avengers: Secret Wars) leaked online. As with any pre-production material, how much of that will make it into the movie remains to be seen, though it certainly gave us a better idea of what to expect.

One piece showed the Young Avengers—Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye, Cassie Lang, Wiccan, and Speed—assembled alongside Wong and Star-Lord. Many fans have questioned when and where Billy and Tommy were reunited following Agatha All Along's big cliffhanger ending. However, the upcoming Vision TV series has since cast Ruaridh Mollica in a mystery role believed to be Wiccan's missing twin.

A photo has surfaced on social media today showing Agatha All Along star Joe Locke and Mollica at a social gathering. We don't have any context beyond that, though fan theories are already plentiful.

Some are taking this as confirmation that these...

The MCU recasts major Marvel hero for upcoming project
Image
Blade will appear in the upcoming Marvel Zombies animated series, although he will not be voiced by two-time Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali. Fans have been waiting to see Ali as Blade ever since it was confirmed in 2019 that he would play the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, starting with a planned solo movie. Although the film has gone through years of issues behind-the-scenes, so whether or not it will eventually get made really is anyone’s guess now. Ali did briefly voice Blade in the post-credits scene at the end of Eternals, but he won't be bringing the character to life in his next MCU appearance.

It has been confirmed that the vampire superhero will be voiced by Todd Williams in upcoming Disney Plus series Marvel Zombies. And this version of Blade will be the same as the incarnation of the character who appeared in the final episode of Marvel's What If...? last year.

Mahershali Ali's Blade Was Recast For This Marvel Series On Disney Plus
Image
Another day, another nail in the coffin of Mahershala Ali's "Blade." As if letting another movie altogether use its wardrobe department wasn't enough on top of the many, many years it's spent stuck in development hell, Marvel Studios' "Blade" reboot just hit yet another snag. Indeed, the titular daywalker is now poised to make his proper Marvel Cinematic Universe debut after Ali's voice-only cameo in the post-credits scene for "Eternals." The only problem? He isn't being played by Ali.

The project in question is "Marvel Zombies," the upcoming animated miniseries based on the comic of the same name. Taking place in an alternate timeline that was previously glimpsed on an episode of "What If...?," the show follows a group of survivors fighting against MCU heroes and villains who have been turned into zombies. Among those starring in the series are Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, Awkwafina as Katy Chen,...

Did Dcu’s Superman or MCU’s Fantastic Four perform better at the box office? Let's explain
Image
James Gunn’s DC Universe inaugural film, Superman, has closed out its sixth weekend with a solid $595 million globally, while The Fantastic Four: First Steps has raked in $469 million after four weekends. Even though Superman has had an additional two weeks to earn revenue, the writing is on the wall that the Marvel Cinematic Universe's 37th entry will not be catching up to the rival studio. Superman will end its run beyond $600 million, but First Steps might not reach $500 million.

The fact that the two movies released in the same month, only two weeks apart, placed more of a spotlight on the superhero adaptations fighting it out at the box office. Yet Superman not only topped First Steps; given that the latest MCU film is the franchise’s highest grossing out of their three 2025 features, that equates to DC prevailing over all Marvel movies this year.

Reflecting on DC and...

Mahershala Ali Will Not Voice Blade In Marvel Zombies As Invincible Star Takes Over The Role
Image
Marvel Animation's upcoming What If...? spin-off, Marvel Zombies, will introduce a very unique Multiversal Variant in Blade Knight. The Daywalker has somehow inherited the Moon Knight mantle from Marc Spector, and the expectation had been that Mahershala Ali would voice the character.

Well, ComicBook.com has confirmed that Todd Williams (The Chicago Code) will play Blade Knight. Interestingly, he previously replaced Ali as the voice of Titan in Prime Video's animated Invincible TV series.

While Ali had a brief voice cameo in 2021's Eternals, the Daywalker's solo movie remains stuck in limbo after being announced at Comic-Con over six years ago. We'd imagine the intention was for us to have already met the Oscar-winner's Blade by the time Marvel Zombies aired, though it's no longer clear whether Ali was ever set to reprise the role in this series.

If the Blade movie fails to materialise, then Ali's MCU work could boil down to Eternals' confusing,...

Mahershala Ali's MCU Debut as Blade Gets Yet Another Delay Ahead of 'Marvel Zombies' Release
Image
The McU's Blade reboot feels like nothing more than a pipe dream to fans. While Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige assure fans that the project, which will star Mahershala Alias the Daywalker, is still in active development, almost every update regarding the project and the character's MCU debut has acted on the contrary. The latest update regarding Blade's MCU debut is just another in a long line of disappointing ones. The character is already confirmed to make their MCU debut in Marvel Zombies, which will have to tide fans over until the Blade movie finally makes it out of development hell. But for those who are excited by Mahershala Ali...
