Will MomTok survive a reunion special?
The core cast of Hulu’s unscripted series The Secret Live of Mormon Wives gathered for a drama-filled evening, with the first teaser, released Monday, showing the ladies, and men, of MomTok picking right back up on the drama that the 10-episode second season ended with.
“Let’s get into it,” reunion special host Nick Viall said to kick off the teaser. And get into they do — jumping to a clip of Viall grilling castmember Jessi Ngatikaura on whether she cheated. Castmember Whitney Leavitt, who emerged from the show’s first season as the apparent antagonist, said she wouldn’t trust an unnamed “her.” There were plenty of tears throughout the teaser — among the women and men. The episode will “uncover secrets and scandals, never-before-seen footage and a surprise announcement,” according to a release.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has finally returned for Season 2, amassing 5M views in the first five days of streaming globally on Disney+ and Hulu.
Per Disney, viewership on the season premiere is up from the first season, though the company didn’t give specifics on that.
It’s difficult to qualify this performance, since Disney doesn’t release viewing data for every title. It also frequently changes the measurement window for which it releases data, adding another complicated layer to any comparisons.
Previously, Pixar’s Dream Productions tallied 5.6M views in five days, and The Acolyte generated 11.1M in the same time frame. However, neither of these titles are likely to have the same core audience as The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, so direct comparisons wouldn’t do much good.
Disney did also say that the reality series has held a top spot on the Hulu Top 15 Today list since Season 2 premiered.

The series, which is hosted by Joel McHale, brings together 11 reality all-stars who must scheme, strategize and shade each other in different challenges for a chance to win $200,000 and the title of “America’s Ultimate Supervillain.” It will launch its third season on Peacock in early 2026.
House of Villains comes from Irwin Entertainment, and the 10-part series is exec produced by McHale, John Irwin, Dave Kuba, Justin Rae Barnes, David Mills and Jessica O’Byrne.

One of the most popular of Hulu’s unscripted programs, “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” follows the Utah-based, Mormon influencers of #MomTok who once went viral for a sex scandal that revealed them to be swingers. The Season 2 trailer teases the unexpected appearance of one of the original swingers, Miranda McWhorter. Per the official synopsis, “friendships threaten to unravel as secrets, lies, and allegations explode. In a battle for the soul of #MomTok, will betrayal shatter the sisterhood, or will the truth set them free?”
The cast includes Taylor Frankie Paul, Demi Engemann, Jen Affleck, Jessi Ngatikaura, Mayci Neeley, Layla Taylor, Whitney Leavitt and Mikayla Matthews.

Families are forever, MomTok lives on — and “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” has officially been renewed for 20 new episodes at Hulu, which means a second and possibly third season of the show. The next installment, according to Hulu, will premiere this spring, and production begins next week. The renewal of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” was a no-brainer: As Variety previously reported, the series’ full-season drop on Sept. 6 immediately became Hulu’s most-watched unscripted premiere this year, beating out other Hulu original content like “The Kardashians,” as well as ABC’s reality offerings such as “The Bachelor.” In Nielsen’s numbers for the week of its premiere, “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” ranked at No. 7 on the streaming originals chart, based on only three days of data. Also? Season 1 ended on a literal cliffhanger, so fans need to know what comes next.

There will be more of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” coming to your screen.
Hulu has renewed the unscripted series for 20 additional episodes, the streamer announced Thursday. The news comes nearly a month after “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” launched, with all eight episodes streaming on Sept. 6.
“Secret Lives” centers on a group of Mormon content creators known as “MomTok,” led by the self-proclaimed founder of MomTok Taylor Frankie Paul, and also includes Demi Engemann, Jen Affleck, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Matthews and Whitney Leavitt.
The series follows their rise to fame as the women push stereotypes of what being a Mormon wife looks like, as well as the subsequent scandal that happened in spring 2022 when word broke that the group was “soft swinging” with each other.
“There was a philosophical question raised in Season 1, which was ‘Can #MomTok survive this?’ The answer unequivocally is yes!

Jeff Jenkins made his name in unscripted television as an executive producer of E!’s “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” among other shows. But he’d been thinking about starting his own production company for some time before exiting his position as co-president of Bunim-Murray Productions. His desire to entertain viewers and inspire meaningful conversations with his shows pushed him to take the leap.
“We get to tell stories that, once in a while, actually can help advance our human culture in a small way,” Jenkins told TheWrap for this week’s Office With a View.

The last thing people might have expected from “NCIS: LA” stars Chris O’Donnell and LL Cool J is a reality series where professional child dancers invite their parents onto the dance floor, but it turns out the heartwarming “Come Dance With Me” competition, which premieres April 15 on CBS, is very much in their wheelhouse.
During a virtual CBS panel on Wednesday, O’Donnell revealed he’s been working on the idea for a few years with Reinout Oerlemans at 3 Ball Productions, and that his crime-solving partner on TV wanted in on the project.

Chris O’Donnell was on set at “NCIS: Los Angeles,” checking his emails, when co-star LL Cool J started looking over his shoulder. O’Donnell happened to be reading about a reality TV idea that his buddy Reinout Oerlemans had just pitched.
The concept is what would become “Come Dance With Me,” a new family-oriented dance competition that premieres April 15 on CBS. But at that moment, O’Donnell wasn’t quite sure he was up for working on a competition show.
“[LL] says, ‘What are you looking at?’” O’Donnell recalled. “I told him it was my friend’s idea for a new show. He goes, ‘I think that thing’s hot! You should do it. This is up your alley.’ And then he was like, ‘I’ll do it if you do it!’”
O’Donnell replied to Oerlemans: “So good news, not only will I do it, but my buddy Todd will do it too!

Netflix has renewed “My Unorthodox Life” for a second season.
The show stars fashion executive Julia Haart, who left the ultra-Orthodox community in which she was raised to conquer the modern world. The unscripted series follows her and her four children as they navigate life since leaving their extreme religious Jewish community.
Still a proud Jewish woman, but not religious, Haart is now the CEO of Elite World Group, one of the world’s largest modeling and talent management agencies.
Haart was raised in Monsey in upstate New York where she had four kids after an arranged marriage. She had never been on a first date and did not have a career. At the age of 35, she started to explore the idea of leaving for the outside world by reading books and watching television and movies. Less than 10 years ago, at 43 years old, she decided to leave her community and set out on her own.
