Numerous actors appeared in several of the series that followed Star Trek: The Original Series, among them Majel Barrett-Roddenberry, Jonathan Frakes, Vaughn Armstrong, Randy Oglesby, Steve Rankin, Tim Russ, Clint Howard, Armin Shimerman, and Lee Arenberg. And a few guest-starred in The Original Series And several of the shows that followed, including Barrett-Roddenberry, Howard, and the late Joseph Ruskin.
Ruskin’s direct association with Star Trek spanned from 1968 to 2001, as he appeared on Tos, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and Enterprise, as well as two video games and the feature film, Star Trek: Insurrection. His first appearance, as Galt in the second-season Tos episode “The Gamesters of Triskelion,” was probably his most famous outing. Keke Palmer has built a career across multiple genres, but there is one aspect of acting she has avoided.
In a conversation with The Independent, Palmer discussed her hesitation toward nudity in film and television. “Just because I’m so shy and, you know, embarrassed,” she said. “And to know that people are going to be able to have [those scenes] forever? I could never have the confidence to do something like that! I’m not that bold.”
Palmer has often been recognized for her humor and sharp comedic timing. Despite this, she described a different side of herself. “On a deep level, I think I’ve always been the kind of person that’s felt very lonely or had these big emotions,” she said. “And I always say that people who are considered comedians, or people that make people laugh, they’re not necessarily seen as serious. Usually, though, they’re...

Stranger Things and Ghostbusters: Afterlife / Frozen Empire actor Finn Wolfhard recently made his feature directorial debut with a horror comedy called Hell of a Summer, which he directed alongside Billy Bryk, who also appeared in Ghostbusters: Afterlife. JoBlo’s own Chris Bumbray had the chance to watch the movie at the Toronto International Film Festival last year and gave it a 5/10 review than can be read at This Link. Hell of a Summer has secured a U.S. distribution deal with Neon, and will receive a theatrical release sometime in 2025 – and earlier this week, we learned that Wolfhard and Bryk have already lined up their second genre project, as they’re writing a remake of the 1999 horror comedy Idle Hands, which they might end up directing as well. The Ghostbusters franchise’s Jason Reitman is on board to produce the film. But what does original Idle Hands star Devon Sawa think of this announcement?...

Because "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" was set in such a politically fraught universe, it was always eager to tackle difficult stories about moral ambiguity. The title space station is located near the planet Bajor, which had been, up until recently, militarily occupied by the Cardassians, a fascistic species devoted to military strength and Bajoran extermination. "Deep Space Nine" takes place right as the Cardassian occupation had ended and witnessed Bajor entering into a long and tricky restoration phase. A lot of "Deep Space Nine" was about the rising corrupt Bajoran theocracy that was elbowing their way into the power vacuum.
Major Kira (Nana Visitor) was the Bajoran first officer on board DS9, and she spent the show learning to live with her military past. During the occupation, Kira took many, many Cardassian lives as a member of the Bajoran Resistance. As one might expect, she was deeply wounded and...

This article contains WandaVision episode 3 spoilers.
WandaVision Episode 3
As we saw at the end of last week’s two-episode premiere of WandaVision, Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) had decided to avoid some troubling cracks in her black-and-white sitcom world (like that eerie beekeeper) by sprucing the place up with some color. In episode 3, WandaVision fully embraces the 1970s TV comedy esthetic, complete with crazy hairdos and outfits, brightly lit sets and even a new theme song and credits sequence that all look like they arrived fresh from a Brady Bunch audition.
And let’s also not forget that Wanda is now pregnant, and as episode 3 progresses, so does her pregnancy at alarming speed. As the show opens, Wanda and Vision (Paul Bettany) are finishing up a home visit from the rather obnoxious Dr. Stan Nielsen (Randy Oglesby), who explains that everything seems fine despite Wanda rather abruptly looking like she’s four months pregnant.

He may have announced his retirement – albeit a temporary one – from filmmaking, but Academy Award winner Steven Soderbergh has not been resting on his laurels. Having delivered the critically acclaimed TV movie Behind The Candelabra, and the equally well-received TV series The Knick, The Girlfriend Experience, and Red Oaks, Soderbergh has turned his attentions to Netflix, where he will stream his latest producing project, Godless.
Godless is a limited series of just six episodes, and is written and directed by Scott Frank (The Wolverine, A Walk Among The Tombstones). Boasting Soderbergh and Casey Silver as executive producers, alongside Frank, the story is set against the backdrop of the U.S western frontier. It stars Jeff Daniels as outlaw Frank Griffin, who is relentlessly hunting his former partner-in-crime, Roy Goode (Jack O’Connell). Goode is hiding out at the ranch of Alice Fletcher (Michelle Dockery), and Griffin’s pursuit of Goode...
