Ingela Ogard was born and raised in Sweden. She moved to London to attend the renowned Chelsea College of Art and Design and followed up with a degree in film making at the University of Westminster. Her first foray into directing was in music videos where she honed her craft, then expanded into making films, commercials and more.
Throughout her career Iggi has split her time between directing and working as a freelance editor and a promo director/producer/editor for numerous television networks, including Nbc Universal, SkyTV, Nickelodeon, Esquire Network, E! Entertainment, TBS, Discovery and many more. She won a Promax Gold Award, several Muse Awards and been nominated for a Clio Award for her TV spots/commercials. Amongst other things she has collaborated on several projects with actor/director Gary Oldman, and edited the documentary short "Take Flight" directed by actress Juliet Landau. Iggi also worked as a segment editor on the critically acclaimed documentary film about the world-famous Russian punk band Pussy Riot, produced by Lyndon Chubbuck.
Her recent multi award-winning short film, the dark comedy/fantasy 'A Real Adventure' is at present on the festival circuit. She also recently finished a series of commercials for Stellar Moto Brand, featuring Jesse Holmes from Eagles of Death Metal.
She teamed up with writer & actor Renee Faia to make the short film 'Beautiful Dead Things' which during its festival run won awards in Cannes, Houston and Toronto, and is now available on Amazon Prime. In January 2020 Iggi was awarded by Diversity in Cannes as one of the Top 10 Filmmakers of the Decade.
