Ivan Obretenov(1924-1988)

Ivan Kostov Obretenov is Bulgarian actor . BHe was born on November 10, 1924 in the village of Krasko, Targovishte region, Bulgaria . He graduated in "acting" in National Academy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgaria in 1953 in the class of Professor Filip Filipov . His nickname was Bateto (the Older Brother). Bateto with his marvelous sense of humor, with his thin self-irony, with this beautiful blend of irony and sadness was strong, resourceful character actor of typical roles. His inner sense of dignity would always keep him away from the vanity. Bateto had great purity and integrity, which did not disappear even in the darkest days, he had to survive. He had played in 40 Bulgarian movies. Ivan Obretenov died on December 23, 1988 in the city of Sofia, Bulgaria.
