A decade ago, actor/director Matt Cohen and his filmmaking partner Sean Flanagan had an idea to make an animated comedy series about a group of over-the-hill legendary characters hanging out in a Cheers-like bar called Public Domain. “The regulars at this Hollywood watering hole were all once famous characters that have fallen into the public domain,” says Cohen, who played young John Winchester on Supernatural and directed the final-season episode “Give Me Shelter.” “They drink together and wait for the opportunity to be rediscovered, and rebooted by Tinseltown,” Cohen explains. “We’ve never asked the question, when life gets hard, where do they go and how do they deal with it? It’s essentially the look at every actor in Hollywood told by a favorite animated character. We’ll see what they’re doing in their 40s-60s, post their Hollywood careers.” According to Cohen, there are about “200 public...

Public Domain is an upcoming adult animated series, whose pilot is moving into production with a cast of familiar TV actors from the long-running cult CW series Supernatural. Written and created by Sean Flanagan, the satirical series follows a group of formerly famous fictional characters who have fallen out of grace in Hollywood, spending their days at a local watering hole where they struggle to relaunch their careers. There is currently a crowdfunding campaign via Indiegogo to complete the independently produced pilot, which will be released online for free while simultaneously being presented to networks.

"I've done it this time." Gravitas Ventures has released an official Us trailer for an indie drama titled Lost & Found, one of those films where various interconnected stories intertwine showing how we're all linked in some way. This one takes place at/around a lost & found office of an Irish train station. All the segments are inspired by true stories, and share a theme of something lost or found and characters that come in and out of each other’s lives. The ensemble cast of Lost & Found includes Liam O Mochain (who's also writer and director), Norma Sheahan, Brendan Conroy, Aoibhin Garrihy, Liam Carney, Mary McEvoy, and Sean Flanagan. This looks particularly cheap & cheesy, moreso than most of these interconnecting films. Here's the official Us trailer (+ poster) for Liam O Mochain's Lost & Found, direct from YouTube: Lost & Found is 7 interconnecting stories set in and around...
