Netflix’s ‘Wednesday’ Releases First Six Minutes of Season 2, Officially Confirms Lady Gaga Guest Role
Image
Netflix’s hit Wednesday released the opening scene of its highly anticipated second season — and officially announced Lady Gaga as joining the cast.

The streamer for the first time confirmed the singer-actress is joining the little monsters at Nevermore Academy, playing a still undisclosed guest role on the upcoming season of the hit series, which stars Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams as she attends a school for outcasts with unusual abilities.

The news was announced at Netflix’s Tudum fan event at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles Saturday, where Lady Gaga took the stage for a climactic — and Wednesday-themed — performance. Emerging from a coffin with the words “Here lies the monster queen” on the lid and backed by a cadre of Addams Family-esque dancers, Gaga performed “Zombieboy” from her recently released album Mayhem.

Following another dance performance — to the Cramps’ “Goo Goo Muck,” which soundtracked Wednesday’s viral dance...

'Wednesday' Creators Expect Fans to "Fall in Love" With Joanna Lumley as Hester Frump

A new member of the Addams Family will be introduced during Wednesday's anticipated second season, and series creators can't wait for fans to meet her. Alfred Gough and Miles Millar recently spoke with Netflix's Tudum about the upcoming season of the hit dark comedy series and what audiences can expect. Speaking about Lumley, whose iconic portrayal of Patsy Stone in Absolutely Fabulous is beloved and acclaimed, Millar told Tudum:

"The idea of bringing Hester, Morticia's mother, into the fold this season was something we were so excited about. The first day on set when Joanna walked on, she just was Hester, and she nailed every single line, and it's just so delicious. She's perfect and hilarious. That...

Guzmán follows Raul Julia and Tim Curry in taking on the role of The Addams Family patriarch Gomez, and in many ways his take on the character is much more in line with Charles Addams’ original comic strip character than any of his previous appearances. While speaking to MovieWeb’s George Edelman about his new movie, the Tom Hardy actioner Havoc, Guzmán shared a tease of Wednesday Season 2, noting that everyone is going to...
